When I decided to dedicate space to each room in my house for decluttering and projects, it changed up how I wanted to document upcoming home projects.

Last year, I made a page for each month and then there were months I did not get much done. For example:

While it was nice to see what happened that month, it seemed like a big waste of space.

I shared an early draft of this page on the Decluttering spread, here’s how it looks now:

While decluttering is part of the plan, the overall goal is to get each space in my house as efficient as possible. After I get rid of what I don’t need, I’ll organize the space and track any projects (which will be added to the Future Me list). After this entry page, I added plenty of space for all the rooms I need to work on.

I’ll be starting in January with the half bathroom, which is the smallest room of the house! I’ve printed the headers already but I’m not going to put them out on the pages just yet, instead I’ll work on the first space, use whatever space needed and then add the header for the next one, even if it’s halfway down the page.

For a small room like this bathroom there may be little notes but then when I move onto the kitchen, I may need 2 full pages. So even though it irks me to not have everything laid out perfectly before January starts, I think it’ll work better in the long run.
