There’s a great habit that I’ve picked up and recommend to anyone who hates cleaning and organizing their home. Never leave a room empty handed.
The habit includes scanning the room you’re in as you’re leaving to identify 2-5 items that belong somewhere else. An easy one to look for is an empty glass or mug that can go into the kitchen.
But you may also find clothes to go into laundry or put away, paper that needs to be filed, cleaning supplies to put away, trash to throw away – the possibilities are endless.

As you look around your space and pick things up, pay close attention to what items don’t have a home – those are your items to organize in you space.
If you’ve ever gotten frustrated while cleaning because there’s so much to put away, this is a habit to adopt.
