Like most middle aged and middle class folks, I am consistently in a stage of decluttering at home. I have a large home and it would be easy to let collections get out of control and amass too much stuff.

In 2025 I created a list of areas I wanted to declutter, which worked fairly well, except that sometimes I moved furniture around which confused me later on. I also tracked some of the donations I dropped off but wasn’t too consistent.

This year I’ve set aside the space to work on decluttering each room/space in my home which is many, many pages because I have a big, old house.

My thought is that I’ll take 1-2 rooms per month and not just declutter things I no longer want or need but also photograph and document items for a whole house inventory.

Here’s my 2026 opening page:

I’ve set aside space on the following pages to detail what I’m working on in each room, I am hoping that it’ll get each space more “complete.”
