2025 was a banner year for consistent savings and reaching my financial goals! I set goals for how much I wanted to save in different accounts and categories and am on track to reach that goal by the end of December.

Unfortunately, when I created my 2025 pages for Savings, I didn’t align the amount I wanted to save with my trackers so it looks really sad that I didn’t save much, when I actually reached my goals! In creating 2026, I decided to make a dedicated page for each type of savings so I could separate the new car fund from the emergency fund.

Here’s the savings overview page for 2026:

And an example of my new truck savings fund:

I am waiting until the end of December to fill in the starting amount for each goal and color in how much has already been saved. While I may not save ALL of this money during the calendar year, it’s encouraging to see how far along I am toward the goal at the start.

One additional page is a Savings Recap page where I’ll fill in my monthly savings amounts. I did this in my Notes app for 2025 about halfway through the year and it’s motivating to see how much I saved and investigate what happened in the months where I saved much less.

Here’s an example of how it looked in 2025:

One final new spread I set up in 2026 is a weekly cash savings challenge. I added 54 boxes, one for every week of the year + 2 bonuses, with a dollar amount in each box. I want to put this money aside in cash, when possible, so that I have some money on hand in case of emergency. Here’s how that spread looks:

While the spread looks a little boring, I will be filling in the squares as I go with Mildliner pens and I may do a little design between the boxes.

If you’re interested in your own weekly savings challenge, know there are no rules. I may try to save the larger amounts first so that in a rough week I can do that $4 or $9 box.
